Certified translations are produced by a permanent court interpreter and translator appointed by a competent court in the Republic of Croatia. Requirements can differ from one institution to another, so we recommend checking before you submit your documents whether the authority concerned requires additional certification, an Apostille or other formal conditions.

Not at all! It doesn't matter where you are — in the same town, another part of Croatia or abroad. All you need to do is take a clear photo or scan of the document and send it to us via the contact form, email or WhatsApp. How to do this correctly is also explained in the question about how to send a document.

An Apostille is not the same as a certified translation. A certified translation is produced by a court interpreter, while an Apostille is issued on the original document by the competent authority (a municipal court, for example). If an institution asks for one, obtain the Apostille on the original first and then we prepare the certified translation — we can also translate the Apostille itself.
No, we normally do not need the original. A sharp phone photo or a scanned PDF is enough. If the authority requires confirmation that the translation matches the original, we will contact you in time and agree on how to send it.
Yes. We send certified translations by post or deliver them to an agreed address, and you are welcome to collect them in person. Before sending, we can send you a photo or a scan of the finished translation so you can see that everything is in order.
The price depends on the text type and language pair, and the basis for billing is one standard translation unit (1,500 characters without spaces). As a guide: standard translation 15–20 EUR and certified translation 20–25 EUR per unit. You receive an exact price free of charge after we review your document.
For shorter documents this is often possible — contact us as early as you can and we will do our best to deliver the translation on the same day. For longer or technical texts the standard turnaround is 1 to 3 working days, with urgent delivery within 24 hours.
